Micro elements or trace minerals (Fe, Cu, Co, Mn, I, Mo, Zn & Cr) are required in trace amounts and usually function as activators or as a component of enzyme system. Minerals are important elements since they are essential nutrients for all domestic animals and influence the productive and reproductive efficiency of almost all species, they constitute about 5% of the total body weight and are involved in most of the metabolic reactions that occur at the intra and extra cellular level. Looking into the availability of trace minerals there are two options available, inorganic trace minerals and organic trace minerals.
